Some thoughts

To experience a sense of awe and total peace with everything, if even for just a brief moment, can be invaluable.

When an experience like this springs solely from an intellectual insight or understanding it may or may not make real change in us; we can never know for sure.

However, when an experience of total peace with everything springs from feeling in detail how suppressed emotional material appear as physical sensations changing and moving through our body and we relax in their presence, we know for sure when something shifts in us.

Purely on a feeling level, with the analytic and judgemental little monkey of a mind in the backseat, our experience of peace is very concrete, unmistakable and immediately opens us up to enjoy more and learn from whatever we are faced with.

The moment we truly let go of our often unconscious and habituated tension, struggle and resistance and move into total acceptance of everything just as it is, our organism spontaneously reorganises itself into its higher potential.

Then we can act from a place of being OK with whatever is, just as it is.

This is not the same as “becoming a doormat”; we may still want to change things or remove ourselves from a situation but there is a huge difference: we can do it from a place of love.

We have our prefrontal cortex fully online again, receiving and processing more information.

Life gets rich and life gets to move us and move through us like rocket fuel!
